A Bit of a Hiatus

Good Morning Everyone,

Well it has been about a week since I was able to post on here. There has been a lot of sadness in the last little bit. A friend close to myself and my husband almost family had passed on not long ago from Cancer. this woman was very tough but unfortunately she was a great loss to personal lies and in the art community as she was an artist. She fought through some massive chemo treatment..127 to be exact and she fought hard now she is no longer suffering.

As the pain slowly starts to very minutely dwindle I am trying to get back to this. Over the last little while I have done a few nail designs and unfortunately my nails got stained pretty bad from one design.

Over the next little bit I am going to try a few new designs and share what has been done recently. Also I have not had anyone following the Blog they are looking at it but that is all. please join the blog. I am trying to expand the blog a bit to bring in more products to review and try but the companies are not seeing the members.

If we can get the joins on the site and I have enough I can try and get some contests put together. You can join on the left hand side where is says "join this blog" it will require and email as you will get updates as I make them. They have some preset things to join with..ie google, yahoo etc.

Please join this site so I can help spread the word and get some more followers. It will be easier for me to get new stuff for people to try with actual members. You can also follow me on Blog Lovin, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

A Dear Friend

Well today has been a very very rough day. A dear friend of ours passed away today which has been very hard. she was also a student of my husband Alex. He is a Golf Coach and Pro Golfer and Joan was one of his students.

Joan was British and she was in the British Military many years ago. She was one tough cookie and she showed that over the last 5 years or so.

About 5 years or so ago Joan was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and given 6 months but she fought so hard. Joan underwent over 100 chemo treatments and a matter of fact I think she was nearing about 120, the docs were amazed and said it was a record and they wanted to put her n the Guinness Records but she wouldn't have it. Joan also had to undergo numerous blood transfusions.Well Jean was undergoing all these transfusions and Chemo treatments she always found time to golf and paint she was an artist after all. There were days where Joan was just so tired she didn't want to do much but she still came out to the golf curse with her Chemo bottle around her waist and played on.

We received a call a day or two ago saying that Joan had gotten some sort of an infection and of course with her immune being down she was not healing well. Alex's Golf Coach John (Joan's Husband) said she may only have about 48 hours to go. So we started preparing but what happened next was not something we prepared for fast enough at least i didn't.

I was at work today (Oct 5) and my husband received a call from john well he was at work. Joan had taken a turn for the worse and was luck to make it 24hrs. It was hard to hear Joan was like family, as a matter of fact we called her "mama bear" it was such a fitting name to something like her. Anyways, Alex picked me up at 4pm and brought me home and of course I ask Alex how she is, he was informed by John that unfortunately she doesn't have long. So we are prepping we know within the next 24hrs we are more than likely going to get a call.

Fast forward a few hours to about 1030pm Alex's cell rings, the call display is John, of course we know she isn't doing well giving us updates but that wasn't the case. John was calling us to let us know Joan had passed away. She passed away at 230pm about 30mins after John called. The devastation hits, we knew it was coming but not that quick, our hearts are breaking we will never see this amazing woman again the cancer got her finally.

She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and was given 6 months but that won't happen she tells herself, while she is being treated for the Colon Cancer she gets Skin Cancer as well. I had my nails done for Breast Cancer as it is Breast Cancer Awareness month but after this devastating news I removed the Breast Cancer mani and redid it in memory of Joan for Colon and Skin Cancer.

The blue ribbon is for Colon Cancer, the Black Ribbon for the skin cancer and the Gold is for the colour of heart she had.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Good Evening/Morning,

Well it is October and it is Breast Cancer Awareness as well as other awarenesses which I will touch on a bit later in the month.

I haven't done anything like this before in regards to any awareness stuff. I decided this month I am gonna try to touch on our awareness dates. Tonight I have decided to touch on Breast Cancer Awareness.

We have all been affected in some way by Breast Cancer, it could have been a friend, family member or a friend of a friend. There are many issues that can arise by this up to and including a Mastectomy. Breast Cancer doesn't only affect women but men too.Yes you heard correct men too, they have breasts too, of course not as pronounced as ours ;).

Anyways for Breast Cancer I decided I was going to attempt a nail design. it was hard but I have done it. Every time I read this Blog or see these photos I will think about those loved ones that have been affected and I hope you do as well.

Please sign up for my Blog as I will be making new designs for different awarenesses. If you have something that has affected you just drop me a message and I will see what I can find and do design wise.

Fall has just begun

Well we know what time of the year it is. It is Fall, the time when the oranges, reds and browns come into play.

It is right around the corner and it is time for the fall colours and designs to emerge. Halloween is right next door too as all the stores are carrying the halloween stuff now too. I think it is time to try some new halloween designs and maybe some fall too.

Being an avid outdoor person I love the water, the colours and I love watching my hubby Flyfish. I may see if I can find some designs for flyfishing as the Trout and Salmon are making their way upstream.

Have got to love Nail Polish deliveries

Good Morning,

It has been a couple days since I wrote on the blog, a fair amount of deliveries have been made to my house.

I have been getting a couple Julep deliveries for their polish and can I tell you it is great. I have purchased a few different ones, some are minis and others are full size. I have also purchased some nail dips which I have yet to try. I am finding some of the polishes don't coat great right away but more on that later in product reviews.

I am finding I am really enjoying the polishes coming in and such a great bunch of colours. I will be reviewing them shortly.

In today's shipment I received the Freedom Polymer Top Coat I can not wait to try that. I also received a cute little Julep bag which allows me to carry my stuff easily and carefully.
