Product Reviews

Well hello on this beautiful warm Sunday morning,

I have been doing a lot of different stuff with my nails this last week. I am trying to get more Halloween designs, it has been challenging but I am finding some pretty darn cute ones.

I have recently tried a new Top Coat. I have been using the Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat and I have to say I love it.

It comes in a really cute white box and it is very well protected. The op Coat has it's own little pocket in the box which helps it to not be banged around. This lessens the chance of breakage during Shipping.

The bottle itself is a dark blue not like the typical clear bottle, I know what's the big deal with this? My opinion it causes the bottle to stand out far above the rest. I don't know how many other people are like me but I like grabbing what stands out to me most, plus in addition to that I can grab it at a quick glance. Now enough f the wrapping how about the product itself...

Well it is great!!! it is not overly think and it is not runny which makes it easier to spread. Also it doesn't stink. I am in Canada and it gets a little chilly here between November to March (no not all year...we actually have very hot summers). My husband has a very sensitive nose to smells and he didn't react to this.which is great. Since he doesn't smell it too much I can just do it in my office without having to worry about making him sick.

It takes a little while to dry but that is because it is like a gel type top coat. You still have to be careful for the first little while but it is sooo worth it. By the time the nails are dry I find they are really shiny, I like shiny things ;-). It doesn't chip or peel as easily as a lot of other top coats I have tried, so I will definitely continue using this one. I have used about 6 or 7 different top coats and so far this is my favourite. I look forward to trying some of their other product, maybe I will check out the repair. If it as good as this top coat is it will be worth it.

Good Morning/Evening,

As I sit here and listen to my favourite band The Tea Party I realise I haven't done a review in a bit. I have a bad habit of playing with my wedding rings and upon doing that I found my hands are dry. The light bulb then clicks on, I haven't done a review in a while and what better product to review then my new Julep Brilliance Glycolic Hand Scrub, I can soften my hands and do a review while I am at it.

I received this in my Maven pack from Julep. I had never heard of it but I figured why not give it a try. I read the instructions which is very easy, all you have to do is put a small amount in to damp hands and rub. It did not leave any kind of an oily residue and I noticed a difference right away.

Brilliance caused my hands to be smooth and soft something I haven't had in a long time. I had my husband check my hands and he said he noticed a difference right away. As a matter of fact my husband being a big child has once heck of a sense of humour. He actually posted on my Facebook account, and I quote "I would let you touch me all day with those hands". That is a great thing to hear because that means he noticed a difference as well.

The softness is because of the apricot seed pieces that are in the lotion. They are very minute but you can see the difference they make. It is like a soft little massage for the hands.
It is not greasy at all and it works immediately.

You can use the lotion as much or as little as you would like i use weekly and I just had my daughter start to use it. It is good for all ages, skin types and for males or females.

I highly recommend this item to anyone especially if you have sensitive skin.

This will be my first official product review. I have decided to review Julep's Bare Face Cleansing Oil.

I first heard of Julep a few months back on a nail polish blog. They spoke highly of the polish and I thought I would give it a look. I was really interested in the products and the prices were pretty reasonable. I had done some research and saw there was a membership called a "Julep Maven" you got a Maven Box free of charge for the first order. I thought I would give it a shot. I signed up for the Maven program and off I went.

The Maven Box arrived a couple weeks later, which it said might happen due to having to clear the customs in to Canada. I finally got the box and opened it up. I was expecting a couple of polishes, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a hand scrub, a couple nail polishes and this oil. I immediately had to try the face oil because I had been having problems with my face.

It is really simple to use and you actually don't need a lot of the oil, a couple of squirts is it. There are many different types of oil in the ingredients like Grape Seed Oil, Rosehip and Olive to name a few. The scent of the oil was extremely pleasant and you didn't have to pre-wash your face. All you have to do is put a couple squirts in your hand and spread it on the face. The oil spread amazingly and you could feel it working.
After a couple of days of using it every other day I started to notice a difference in my skin. My skin started clearing and it was smooth.

My husband looked at my skin and said he could notice a difference. All I can say is it felt good to have a clearer complexion and I wasn't as self conscious. I would and have highly recommended this oil to some family and friends and can i say you have a fan for life. Thank you Julep for helping me to feel better bout my complexion.
